Great day on the water, got a nice Pacific Hake

Went out with a couple fellow kayakers and got on some great multi species action with a neat Pacific Hake thrown in the mix! Disgusting meat but solid deep water species. Nice weather but there was some current to deal with. Even ran into a school of yellows or bones sitting under some birds but they didn't seem interested in the iron. Could be the nasty water we have at the moment.

Fish count:
1 pacific hake, kept
1 copper rockfish, kept
15-20 vermillion rockfish, 9 kept
7 ocean whitefish, 4 kept
1 longfin sand dab, kept
1 pacific barracuda
10 calico rockfish
4 starry rockfish
1 octopus
10 white croaker
3 barred sand bass

Any way to resize the pics smaller?

That hake is super cool! I'm definitely jealous!

I'm still trying to figure that out. Do you use imgur or direct upload to BWE?

I use Flickr. It gives you options for small, medium, large, etc and gives the pixel dimensions. Does wherever you're hosting your pics have an option like that?

The photo in this post is 800 pixels wide:

if you are using imgur, just choose the "huge thumbnail" option or include "h" at the end of the url before the .jpg and it will shrink the picture
