Not much to report but....
Parked about a mile from launch, kinda crowded today, then paddled to the bull kelp. Lost a yellowtail at the yak to a seal and yes I rolled in the 1' surf at the launch. I think i'm ready for the pro team. |

Don't sweat it! As the lifeguard guy told me one time. To catch a yellowtail on a kayak is a special thing to do. If it was so easy there would be 1000's out there not dozens on average. Hang in there.

Sorry to hear about the roll, but it does happen to the best of us, I know I have done it at least twice!! But I am hardly one of the best of us! Just imagine your next YT will be phenomenal with all the dues you just paid!!!

Yea, sometimes you will have the best day ever on the water and then roll coming back in. But when you do get a 30-40 minute fight it is so worth all the work.
