First Time...

Yesterday, I joined the ranks of kayak fishermen for the first time. I rented a Tarpon 140 from Andy at OEX and toured HH. The view was amazing down by the bridge; the whole San Gabriel range seemed close enough to touch. I didn't catch anything which is probably why I was looking at the mountains, but it was a great time. I really liked the seat in the T140, I was totally comfortable and couldn't believe how fast the day went.

Welcome to the addiction, wait until you buy a nice pair a breathable waders (Hodgman Wadelight) and see a few schools of foaming Yellowtail without a soul in sight... the day will fly by in seconds... and as soon as you get to sleep the alarm will go off at 4:30 a.m., again.

First the "gateway" sensation of the paddle overcomes you, next thing you know you're straight shooting the Mirage Drive pedal .
