2017 CKBF Tournaments

The So Cal bass fishing seen will see a shot in the arm in 2017 as was promised last year. California Kayak Bass Fishing, CKBF, will be putting together a schedule of CPR, (Catch/Photo/Release) Fresh/Saltwater Bass tournaments for our local waters and also larger events with Kayak Bass Fishing, KBF. CKBF and KBF will be working together trying to grow the sport of CPR kayak fishing tournaments in California and other western states as KBF has already established similar events all across the country. For all the information and rules for the CKBF events go to the CKBF Facebook Page.

If you need further assistance post up questions here and Outlawangler or myself will answer as soon as possible.

These are the first 5 events that have been planned, more local events will likely be planned so check back. The first 2 events will be a $20 Entry Fee and a $5 big fish. The other events fees are TBD.

February 25, 2017 Lower Otay Lake; 6am-2pm
March 18, 2017 Lake Murray; 6am-2pm
April 15, 2017 Mission Bay Classic; TBD
May 12, 2017 KBF Trail Event California Delta; Lodi, CA; TBD
September 15, 2017 KBF Trail Event; Prineville Res.; Prineville, OR; TBD

We are hoping to have a good showing for the local events and look forward to seeing you out there. If you are seasoned or new to bass fishing, this is a great way to get out on the water and catch some fish, share some stories and ultimately build the "community.

This sounds awesome. I'm planning to get out there more this year. Nothing like a little competition to accelerate the learning curve. Thanks for doing this Kerry
