Weird Reef Critters, Not The Usual Suspects | Kayak Fishing Dana Point
This past Saturday Anthony and I where planning on targeting Sheephead just outside the harbor. There we plenty of Lobster pots marking new reefs as well as the ones that I’ve fished before.
It turned out being very slow with few Sheephead. The bite was totally weird today. I caught just about everything else that could swim or crawl around a reef 🤣 Anthony decided to head north to the Strand. I just stuck it out because I knew that the wind would pick up early If you guys enjoy watching these fishing videos please consider subscribing to my channel and hitting the notification bell 😃 Hope you like the video! https://youtu.be/ZlT8AKftB10 |

Youtube is blocked on my computer. I'm curious, what all species did you catch?

Nice video. Great variety of fish over there! I usually fish on the rocks over at the Strand and I'm always catching something different. I've caught all different bass and perch, sargo, opaleye, wrasse, croaker, rays, and I even caught my first wsb a couple of weeks ago. That black perch you caught, is that another name for rubber lip perch? Tight lines!
