I am in for a Monday trip, however I cant launch from the base. How far of a paddle is it to San Onofre?

you can launch from the base. its either that or a 9 mile paddle north from oside harbor or a couple miles from DP harbor. just show your Drivers license to get on base. if you guys want to and are serious PM me and ill send you the launch site and directions.

I have had 2 sons in the Marines and have been on the base many times to pick them up. Will they allow you to go on base to launch your kayak. Are you talking about the beach near Sano or the beach near Oceanside?
