Hmmm...

Since you have a four stroke Yamaha behind you, how about getting a larger battery?

That way you can keep my 500 lb fury friend busy for hours on end.

They don't make 6 Volts pumps as far as I know.

-What we do is run the 12 Volt pump with a 6 Volt battery, thats how its done.
Get yourself a 6 Volt 12 amp battery and it will run all day long without a problem.

The pump will run at half of its rated speed and will be much quieter.

All you Hobie guys say your tanks run all day & the Hobie website says they run a 6 volt pump if I am not mistaken (250-300 GPH?) - My 12 volt pump runs 500 GPH and I am looking to get more mileage out of my battery.

Josh - You know I tried to pawn that dog off on you a few weeks ago as I was the only engine out at LJ and he wouldn't leave me alone. Aren't guides supposed to take one on the chin for their clients ?

Hobie uses a 6v battery on a 12v 500 gph pump. Its the same pump we have used in KayaTanks for a few years and now use in the Stealth pump kits.

Is there a 12v pump with a lower gpm rating that draws less power available??

Rule makes a 360gph but thats about it.

Run a timer if you want everything 12v and need less flow/ battery usage.
