Help identify this fish

Hi please help identify this fish thank you. Baby Halibut? No teeth at all. Caught while fishing for rockfish about 2 miles from Long Beach break wall.

The list of left-eyed flounders is pretty short. The only one not on this page of my book is fantail sole. The big mouth, symmetric body spots, body shape, and size all point to bigmouth.

Dabs vs. Butts

No Teeth on Sand Dabs
A rounded tail on the Dabs
A straight lateral line on the Sole/Sand Dabs...the Halibut has that hook or bend in the upper part of the line...
