Pac halibut below SFO is about as common as searun stripers in SoCal. It happens.
A few halfmonths of a fishery is better than no months.

The picture threw me off. Thanks for the clarification ful-rac. I've heard of stories of some pacific butts' caught around Catalina a few years ago. They're hard fighters from what I was told.
