Question Need advice???

Can anyone give me some advice on how to get people to commit to attend the DFG commission meeting? I am not sure that the strong possibility of the DFG selecting the largest closures possible, meaning a big loss of fishing territory is enough. I mean it is enough for ~20 or so people, but the ANTI-Fishing side will be there in force.

Does anyone remember the battle of Plan C? We need that attendance... you could cut the air with a knife, when the BRTF voted out C. We need 200+ people at this DFG commission meeting, they make the final decision, this is it, 4th down, the whole enchilada. We fishermen need to make our voice heard and see this fight through.

There is a thread, please commit to attending the public comment session... we do not have the agenda, but once we do, more info will be posted.

Try an email tree. Ask everyone who is committed to come to contact a few of their friends. It might make it easier if you provided provided a short invitation message that participants could copy and include in their emails.

I haven't seen anything at www.scsurffishing.com yet. Have you posted there in the past? That site has a very big following and those closures almost allways extend onto the beach so it will surely affect them.

Only as long as there's some killer grub to go with it...

Very good idea, may also add that they can ride with you as well.

I know a couple people that are members, I will ask them to post a link to BWE and start a thread to try to get people to attend, closures would most definitely affect surf fishers.
