New PB Lingcod + other catches

Know it's been a little slow on here lately, so wanted to share a new PB lingcod that I picked up a couple of weeks ago. Out of respect for the locals that have fished this spot longer than I've been alive, I don't want to give too many details in regards to location. All I'll say is it is nice to see models this size within kayak range here in Southern California! This one measured 37"(my measuring board is only 36" and this was at least 1" over) and weighed in at 19lbs at the dock after being gilled/bled. I know they can get much bigger than this, but I was super stoked to land this one locally and wanted to share the stoke with you all here

Also, here's a few more fun catches from earlier in the year:
Good sized Soupfin Shark caught at PV Cove on a hambuguesa rig with a greenback(got my colt sniper back!), a Swell Shark that came up in one of our lobster pots from the end of the season, an angry Green Moray that came up in another one of our lobster pots(no, this one did not get a kiss...), a bushel of bugs and a super colorful flag rockfish from La Jolla

Why a gaff? You could have lipped him. That's a nice ling.

Thanks! And you know what? I like the way you think... From now on, I'm lipping everything, no matter what:

Thanks! Ling was actually caught on a double dropper loop. 12oz weight at the bottom at 300'. Live greenback on one hook, frozen squid on the other. Don't know if it took just took the squid or both. It puked the squid up at the side of the kayak and the mac was long gone. Guessing the motion of the mac gave life to the frozen squid and made enough of a commotion to provoke a solid bite.
The soupfin shark was caught on the large colt sniper with a live mac pinned to it(hambuguesa rig)
