SAVE CALIFORNIA FISHING
SAVE CALIFORNIA FISHING
I joined to make my donations a no brainer every month. PLEASE Join here: http://www.savecafishing.org/ I think this is a great idea, If we get just 2% of California anglers to donate on a monthly basis, can you imagine the impact? The enviro wackos have the $ and they used it to kick us in the nuts. This can be the start of something big. I wrote letters, attended meetings and donated money. To be honest, donating cash was always the easiest for me. I HATED being in the same room with some of those "other people" Over at bloodydecks they are putting the logo on the sig line of all those who donate, and they have some big plans for 2012. A few of us here have already signed up and put the logos on our sig line. This is also a great opportunity for all the new guys who didn't have the pleasure of joining us at those fun meetings, and really have no idea how hard we fought for the precious fishing grounds we have left. As bad as we got fugged, it would have been a lot worse if we didnt fight like we did. This idea could make a big difference in the continuing MLPA battle and the in the future assaults against our right to fish. (Because there will be more...The wacko "stop fishing crowd" are far from done) So Sign up and give some $$$ Kayak fishing's not cheap, and to me the right to fish is just about priceless! Thanks Don

Lawsuits are not a fast process, and are very costly in both personal time and money. It's a war of attrition, and usually the side with the most money wins - or forces a compromise. But not always, as evidenced by La Jolla remaining Open for the most part. It's a small amount of money - $5 a month. Something that is painless for most individuals. However, when you multiply that $5 a month by all the fisherman in California it becomes a Huge Force to Reckon With. Please contribute to the cause.

It's not about making fun of things at all. Sarcasm is simply a way of speaking in which what is said is obviously the opposite of what is meant. It's based in Irony: the use of words to express something other than and usually the opposite of the literal meaning. It's like saying: "OH!! F-n Awesome!!!" when you drop your keys off your kayak in the middle of La Jolla Canyon. Trust me.. I've been there, and though I might of said something along those lines it was not Awesome!!! Similarly: saying that everyone that doesn't have an icon should be banned when obviously I do not have an icon myself is rather obvious sarcasm. It's not to be taken literally, it actually means the opposite. That I would be very much against banning or harassing people based on such criteria. tacmik says he was was banned from another site when they said he didn't contribute. That's pretty F'd up in my book. I certainly hope things like that never happen around here. Jim |
