This rod taught me alot over more of the other rods I have built. For one never use A metallic thread to do a spiral wrap with multiple strands you will wind up with a tangled pony tail. But A lays down nicely on the blank for first wrap and I like the C thread better than the D thread for wrapping guides. I haven't had a new rod guide slip yet. All in all it's good enough for me and a good investment with a profit.

Nylon thread works
Prefect for a spiral wrap. It will lays completely flat and straight for you when you rotate the rod by hand.
If you make it look like candy 🍬 it might get bit 😏

And seriously 😐 it's a good thing I have
Domestic violence training
Because the googan that put his reel on top of my tackle box and then started bouncing his pin knife off the top of my tackle box finish, that's when I told him to move your stuff off the top of my tackle box and then the guy has the nerve to say you don't have to be a dick about it. I took the high road and just said I'm not being a dick. But seriously who wants a fk-ing patch job if your forced to sell something. I could give a sheee-it about scratches unless I have to sell something.

I think most of my rods are wrapped in C thread, but D thread being a little thicker, is faster and easier to wrap so that's a good thing if one is going for functionality over looks. |
