Newport PCH Bride launch?
I know of the Coast Guard Station, 15th street, and Newport Dunes ($10-$14 !!!)
Anyone know of a place to launch by the PCH bridge? Going back on Fri. pm Thanks, Matt |

Southwind Kayaks wont allow public launch there byt the bridge. its for there customers only (as per the guy i spoke to who told me i wasnt allowed to launch there...)
Go the the Newport aquatic Center, its like 1/3 a mile back into the back bay, its a very close paddle to the bridge there. |

Gimo is right with the Newport Aquatic Center. That is where I launch from; here are the directions:

Thanks for the info on the Aquatic Center.
Their website says that they close at sunset. Do they lock up the parking or can I come in later? |

No gates
They close the aquatic center but the parking lot has no gates. You should be fine

i hear they are strict on hours but they dont have a way of locking anything up. So im sure you could skip a few hours in. but i wouldnt know i dont launch there.
