MLPA Update
Maybe a dumb question so I apologize in advance - haven't been on the forum in a while and haven't been to an MLPA meeting since the one up in Carlsbad a way back. But I got one of those e-mail updtes from Melissa Heiman recently and actually decided to open it as it touted some "new Round 2 Maps." It looks to me like the MLPA is no further along than it was almost 2 years ago. WTF? Not even implemented in NoCal yet, no real info on SoCal past those old maps?? Are we still paying for this?

Those round 2 maps are for NorCal.
SoCal closures are at the Fish and Game Comm level. North-Central MPAs went into effect last month. |

In SoCal, you are substantially correct. The Fish and Game Commission voted to fully analyze only the IPA. There's more to this story, but that will take its own thread. |
