DP: On the rocks..
So.. I was not able to get out on fish on the yak like I do every Sunday. So I decided to just go and fish off of the rocks for a couple of hours, so that way I was able to do some fishing.
So.. after about 3 casts, I had a couple nice bumps followed by a slam! Caught this 24' inch Halibut after fishing for about 10 minutes. I caught him on a drop shot, with a 4 inch Zoom Super Fluke. Last edited by Stoneale; 05-03-2010 at 03:42 PM. |

Great, I'm looking forward to my first legal size from there - were you fishing inside or outside the on the jetty?

Nice flattie! I love catching halibut on the bass gear. Some of my most memorable halibut trips I was using 6lb. bass setups.
