Jig stick
I am in the market for a jig stick. I wanted to get some opinions on what you guys use or have used that has worked well for you. I was thinking 8 or 8.5 for length? What pound rating should I go after for the rod? I am looking to fish mostly yellows with it and white sea bass.
Thank you for your help. |

I personally use a 8' classic seeker jig stick BSC 670-8' 25 (30) 40. But here is a good thread that should help you out looking at different options.

http://www.anglerscenter.com/rods_shimano_teramar.htm I fish a calcutta, but they are discontinued now, but this rod is close and it won't break the bank. the Teramar is pretty close TMC-80H 8' 20-40 $180ish then you have the Seeker Ulua93H $235ish ULUA 93H-9 1/4' 30 (40) 60 then you have a Calstar GFDH900M $260ish Calstar GFDH900H 9' 30-60 or you could go with a calstar 90j about $180ish |

Robbie:
I have a Calstar 6485L 8.5' 20-40lb stick that works great on the kayak for a surface iron stick. Not too long, not too heavy. Only used a couple times and will make you a deal on it...... |
