San Pedro 2/24/2010

Hit San Pedro Bay yesterday.
looking for an upgrade on my 2010 Butt.

In La Jolla you watch for whales,
In the bay you keep your head on a swivel for these:

Covered hundreds of square miles and fished many hours looking for the right kind:

NOPE:

NOPE:...well kinda yep:

Trying the last spots at the end of a long day,
sometimes a little persistence payoffs:

Well there's your San Pedro fish report,
seeya soon

Don, You got some momentum going, nice BUT!

Curious what others will chime in with, that trap hook is huge and heavy duty (did you borrow it from one of your irons?) and crimped wire?! I use little #8s trebles and a #2 snelled on 20-30# for sardines

Sometimes I wish I didn't work "normal" hours that way I could be putting in time on the water but I guess I'll settle for being a "weekend fisherman". Thanks for the fish porn, it'll get me through the week.

Nice Butt. I can't get over the belly on the YBRF either. Chalk up another 5 pts on the board.
