hummingbird + wire seal question????

anyone ever use the wire seal sold on the kayak fishing supplies website with a hummingbird? i viewed the website as well as watched a couple u-tube videos but not sure if the transducer cable on my 2010 570 hummingbird sonar will thread through the inside diameter of the wire seal.

if anyone has used the wire seal with a

Transducer - Standard: XNT-9-20-T let me know. this is a very common transducer for hummingbird products.

i really like the professional look of the wire seal.

I'm not sure which one they sell. There are at least three different sizes for those cable clams. The plugs for my Humminbird transducer fit in the two larger sizes. Call OEX or send them a PM and they should be able to tell you for sure.

Even the enormous Lowrance plugs fit through the large cable clams.

4 cables from the Humminbird FF/GPS running through this one

thanks for the pics! i found another site that had specs for the clable clams. after rewatching the u-tube video i bet the 13/16 spade bit the man used would put the wire seal application at an inside diameter to small for my plugs. i think i am gonna go with the medium sized cc. it looks like it will do the job well. did you add any type of other sealant when you installed your cable clams? thanks again!

The wire seal will not work for the H Bird, cable clam, med is what most use. I really like these thru bulkhead wire caps, but they are difficult to find in stock........I have one in the store

I use Goop to seal up the cable clam. The rubber plug will squeeze down, around the cables and prevent most of the water from getting through. addition Goop seals it completely. Not necessary, but I like to keep the interior as dry as possible. Before applying any Goop, make sure that the FF is fully operational and getting signals from the transducer and external GPS antenna (if applicable). If using an articulated mount, such as a RAM, you also want to make sure that you have enough slack in the cable(s) to allow the FF to be move throughout the full range of travel of the mount.
