LJ 3/22 (this year)
Better than expected water, but not great, vis ~8ft, better west of the hotel, tons of swimming pool size pockets of bait doing the river dance on the surface, greenies and smelt, but mostly spanish---thick with spanish--nothing big pushing them up, just calicos, most likely...offshore wind faded at 8, slight onshore when I left at 9.
Dragged spanish and greenie out to the 3/4 and back. Most of the life was from the buoy to just past the point. Much quieter out by the bull kelp. The place is primed to blow up. More bait on the surface than I've seen since September. Some swell at the launch, but totally manageble. Few grey whales cruised through, but weren't biting the iron |

Thanks for the report Dan. With the bait and better weather, I'll be out Thursday or Friday.

If tomorrow's conditions are right, I am gonna troll plugs to the corner for a look and hang out with the trusty new 9 footer
