The good ol' cameraphone...
One of these days I'm going to get one of those fancy waterproof cameras. Until then, the battle of the cameraphones will tell the tale.
This first fish is from Friday. No boats on this day, but some gusts of wind close to 30 mph, with rain . A lone kayak arrived on the scene just at the end of this battle. I believe this photo was taken with the I-phone, something like ten megapixels. What's pretty cool is how clear this photo is with the lack of light, stormy grey conditions. Today also had no boats, one sportie and two kayaks. As much as I love playing bumper-boats I don't fish the weekends unless I have to. At least during the summer. A few more weeks and the beach will return to normal, I can't wait. I can handle the 30 mph wind, but that same guy running over my trolling lines, again and agian...yes as a matter of fact my trolling lines are behind me . No thanks! This photo was taken today with my Blackberry in full sun. Obviously not as clear even with ample light. That I-phone's pretty nice, but I haven't even figured out how to use my Blackberry yet .

Awesome fish, and the finger placement not surprisingly is perfect! I guess fish have to eat no matter what the weather?!?!
Best, Josh Looking forward to giving the 90j a work out soon |

I just got an iPhone for my wife. That is one amazing piece of gear. The newest model even takes Hi-Def video. The number of useful Apps that are available is incredible. I bet there is even one that tells you where the fish are biting.
I am not sure that I would have the courage to take an iPhone out on the water however unless I had a pretty good waterproof setup. Someone put up a post a couple weeks ago in which they vacuum-sealed their iPhone in a plastic bag. Assuming the thing still worked in the bag, that might be the way to go. Bob |

Another beauty, thanks for giving us mere mortals a little hope. It has to be the face paint...right?
