2/23 LJ Nada por nada
Looked promising out around the corner. Trolled a plug all the way out there, seeing scattered baits on the surface. Just short of the corner the scattered baits turned to big shoals all over. Waited for it to pop, but it never did. Trolled the plug back in without a sniff.
1 foot surf, light offshore turned stiff from the south. Water looked milkier green today with lower visibility 10 foot. Don't know what moved the fish, the bait is sure still there.

Sounds just like yesterday. Not sure what to make of this. Any bird piles further out?

I launched around 6:15 back in at 10:30. Lots of lazy bait and scattered birds. I didn't see any surface activity, picked up a short ling on iron and a stray calico on the way back in. Seemed to be pretty slow for all.

Birds
I drove the beach from the point to Bird Rock. The only birds I saw were sitting in the kelp outside of Big Rock, in the area I fished yesterday. Looked like they were waiting for the dinner bell to ring. Was the current down hill today? That south wind could have put them down . Kelvin
