Making bait in Sd bay

Does anybody ever make bait in the bay for fishing bay halibut if so i would appreciate some pointers

I have made bait in the bay before by using a sabiki. You may even want to add a small strip of squid to each hook. I have made macs & smelt this way. Look for bait as you would anywhere else. There is load of bait in the bay.

You can also just paddle over to the bait barge and buy a $5.00 scoop.

do you have any particular spots in the bay where the bait hangs out or should i try by the bridge and work the docks
