Dana's Bass don't know about the MLPA

I'm back from Hawaii and although
I did very little fishing there (mostly Molokai), I still remember
how to fish, kinda--especially for bass.
Hogan's turned me on to a hot swimbait, the
Robo-Swimbaits. I got the Smelt colored ones.

The bass won't leave them alone. The sandies jumped
all over this bait, and so did a 4-5lb Calico, who hit it on
the surface with a wicked strike, 2' from my boat.

Then the most surprising of all, a beautiful (40-50lb)
Black sea Bass on my Yosiree in 20' of water.

Thanks Arnold & the MLPA for letting me fish just one more day.
Big Calico released to fight another day. Yani

Beautiful fish, I bet that Black Seabass was a surprise.
Can you notice any real difference between those new Robo-worm swimbaits and the regular kinds like Fishtraps and Big Hammers. I can see its got some extra fins, but I just didn't think those would do much. But according to the pics they sure do work.

Awesome report and pics! I have used those new robo-swimmies as well and like them. The biggest difference that I noticed is that they are beefier and don't get shredded as quick as others. That being said, all of the swimmies mentioned are good....but all are great with some butter slabbed on em'!

Are the Robo swimbaits superior? Hell I don't know!
For me, I go with the lures and their colors that
seem to get bit during the season I'm fishing. I do
try to match-the-hatch. The light green Robo really
looks like the ever summer-time present smelts.

Fish meals? I can't wait.

will be next, I think.
