La Jolla Jackpot!

The sunrise, yes, I like sunrises, and pina coladas!! :P It was freaking cold this morning, couldnt get my fingers to warm up. Surf was minimal, plenty of sun, little to no wind, very little current. But chilly!

We may have a winner... AC if you want higher res pics send me an email sdholymackerel@gmail.com

Looks like Adi was in the running, comparing yellows... Thanks again for the dines...

some of the crew that made up the $200 JP.

C&R Sculpin...

Got to Meet Potto, good meeting you.

And Finally!!! Thanks to the Dines, I C&R this baby for 15 points!!! No need to check here... Please put up my points, thanks BWE!!

Full shot, I stood up on my yak, so that is why the Hali looks so small in this pic! :P

A good day on the water, I was talking to Pat, we ought to have a monthly JP every month...

Chris

Yes, just kidding about the halibut, as well as standing on my yak... I think I could stand on it, but wouldn't try with gear!

Congrats to Art. He was paddling my way when next thing I know, he's seriously bendo. Not a serious touch for me.
Chris, I see you're on pace for another great WCW run. Maybe if you just left it on the hook something big would have eaten it. Next time, lay the tape for 22.5in, take an outstretched arm pic against the sun, and say you caught it in the bay. Whopper indeed! :P

Nice way to break a long draught for LJ. I lost more fish than I caught last year in LaJolla. She weighed 24.5#.

Dropped by Squidco and spent a little.
Hitting NRS from some gloves. My fingers were frozen this morning.

AC

Chris, thanks for the pic aguachico@cox.net

Congrats on the catch and jackpot. I fished from 6:00am until 10:30am for nada. Caught 1/2 dozen mackerel easily at the pier, drug one on the bottom for a while trying to catch my first Scripps halibut. Then trolled one across the canyon to the kelp. Fished live bait and yoyo'd irons from the kelp back to the canyon edge without any love from the fish. Still a nice day out there and the potential jackpot made it even more fun. Dave

Great day once the sun came out. I was just outside you guys when the YT was landed. That is the same spot I hooked up a couple weeks ago. My buddy got a nice ride from a BSB. We were worried when it wasn't going back down, but it went eventually.

Nice meeting all of you. A jackpot once a month? Hmmmmm sounds like a good idea to me.

Congrats to Art and Adi on the Yellows.

My brother and parents were at the beach during my crash landing. He he he he he. At least they were able to see some excitement. Didn't have a fish to show them, not even the bait. Lost all of it in the crash. Had to go to the store and buy frozen macs for the hooping session with Paul.

Enjoyed all of it. Lets do it again.
