Hmmm...

Hmmm...home court advantage, complete with the ability to pre-fish every day prior. Not to mention, I can break out the old tournament jersey and my lucky checker'd shoes.

Not that this tournament is about money, but how much is the prize purse up to ?

The entry fee is $25. I'm not sure of the exact breakdown but it something like: $25.00= $16.00 to Most Weight, $5.00 to Big Fish and the remaining portion to KFAC and Baytuber's. So, the pot is determined by the number of entrants. I think there are about 25 signed up as of today.

You are correct about this tournament not being about the money. In addition to the cash, the winner of a Baytuber event gets to pick the location of the next event as well as the honor of cooking the main dish at that tournament.

As for your home court advantage, I like your confidence. I'm confident as well -confident that the top spot will be occupied by a baytuber and/or LP brother.

I like my chances
Just have to decide who to follow
but really Kiyos tourneys are always a good time
already have my reservations for San Elijho state beach
so "pre-fishing" is on the agenda

I have you and your dad signed in.

How do you edit a post? The original 1st post on this thread doesn't have an edit button?

You seem purdy confident yer going to win. I like that.
I'm the most unlucky person I know! I won't have a chance to pre fish for this tourney either... if your lookin for a little side bet...i'm your huckleberry.

Being a betting man, I would prefer to play both sides of the over/under. I think my entry fee will cover the over side of the equation, but I would like to make a side bet with you that a 10 lb Halibut will take the tourney .

I probably shouldn't tell you this, but my evil plan is to post a 10 lb Hailibut from the pier area days before the tournament...pre-fishing with a twist .

The truth of the matter, I'm the most unlucky person I know. No matter how many Yellowtail I catch the days leading up to the tourney, I'm sure my sonar won't work on the big day. True story, my bait-tank died in two consecutive Moyer tournaments, right after I spent an hour loading up on Greenback Mackerel. This year I caught Yellowtail four trips in a row before the tournament, and couldn't buy a bite with the exact same conditions on the big day. I think Kiyo might be right about pre-fishing, but I just love to fish.
