1/18 Report - Lake La Jolla
Perfect day on the water. Flat calm, whales spouting in the distance. The only thing that could make it better would be some fish. Nope. Still better than sitting at home.

I was out today as well, just beautiful conditions. Lots of bait but never saw any surface activity. No current either. I had a dolphin crest right in front of my bow and swim 3 ft under my boat upside down looking up at me. Really cool.

Premo and I were out there also. It was a beautifull day but slow fishing. Premo had a hook up that was stripping line and pulling him faster then I've ever seen a kayak get towed, but the fish ran for the kelp and broke off there. Still it was worth the trip to see the whales up close and personal.
