10/26 Surprise
Launched Sunday morning into some heavy surf and light fog. Water was
64.5 and clear/purple outside. On my way out, I saw some bait on my meter along the kelp in 85 ', so I grabbed the bass rod and threw a green plastic* - third cast, and Wham-HOOKUP ! Drag peeling, I figured this was gonna be one helluva momma Calico. . . . . Cute little RAT! Quite a tussle in and out of the kelp on the Calcutta 250 & straight 30# spectra. Yes the sashimi is good, and the bugs will be feeding on the recycled head this week in my hoop net. Finished up with a handful of Reds from MPA-land. Vermillion carcass's recycles nicely into bug bait too. One more cast, you're never sure what's next! P.S. *these guys are back in biz now ... http://www.floridaysfishing.com/5swimmintails.html

Very nice on the 250! Most have smoked the drag a little. I believe this is your second YT on a plastic? Something I want to achieve.
