How suitable are Advanced Elements Kayaks for fishing?

http://www.kayakfishingsupplies.com/...e-Kayak/Detail

Portability is a major issue, so this would be a perfect fit.
However I just realized how much sharp objects fishing requires, and am scared of getting any pinholes in an inflatable.
Does anyone own a AA yak and fish with it regularly?
Thanks!

That should be OK. Just watch where you put your bait knife.....and your gaff....and fish hooks...... Oh; and don't catch any makos.

Seriously - some of those inflatables are very durable. If you want to fish out of it you should make sure that it has independent air chambers, multi-layer construction and well-sealed seams. I can see some applications for it; such as mothershipping from a small boat.

I don't know if I'd be comfortable using one. I tend to carry a lot of gear and I want something rigid on which to mount rod holders, fish finders and the like. Even polyethylene, as durable as it is, doesn't always inspire absolute confidence.

they are better than any of the other inflatables in their bracket, that si why they are the only ones we carry at OEX.
