Dana Point (Again) - 08-09-2023
Back at it yesterday, nice sized sardines, small and healthy. Seas were smooth, light ripples, fairly clean.
Picked up a kayak scoop and headed out. Even with small sardines bites were few and far between. I did get cut off while trolling a sardine, and had one cut in half, maybe a barracuda. Managed a decent Sheepshead though, dinner. And that's about it, very slow day.

Thanks for the report Dave. I went out last weekend and used live bait along the beach. Very slow the first 2 hours. Then, just like a few weeks prior, as soon as the sun poked through and the breeze picked up there was a flurry of action. Caught 2 hali, one of them legal and a few little WSB.
