Grunion Runs 2023

The concentration of bait near the beaches must attract larger game fish. This is the 2023 expected season. Does anyone ever have any luck fishing it?

Most gruion I ever saw.....

Was in San Diego Bay, on Coronado. That little sandy beach in front of the golf course under Coronado bridge.
Buckets full and no surf, but I did not touch them. I only could have imagined the halibut in the bay at that time. It was in 1975 or so.
Not sure if that was a common occurrence.....
Or a Frick thing.
