Smile La Jolla Kayak Yellowtail (Old school) Old days

Just found an old DVD that I made years ago of one of my early La Jolla Kayak Yellowtail on 10-24-2014. Man I do miss how FISHY it was back then! Made me want to head out on the Kayak a little more often as a change from the Solo Skiff exclusively. Tight Lines!

All my yt

Came from 70 to 90 ft of water, whiteseabass to.
I wouldn't even waste my time unless I could make it to a
High spot in 6000ft of water.

Good to see success Mark, even if it was a while ago. FWIW kayak angling in SE Florida is also slower than back in 2014.

That's awesome, thanks for sharing. I grew up here and lived in LJ for a time, went to and graduated from High School there. Used to snorkel the caves and near by areas, many years before it became a marine life reserve. Used to go out of the Marine Room with a friend in his Dad's canoe. My life just never found kayaks till many years later. I spent that in between time water skiing, snow skiing, playing indoor and outdoor soccer, riding my motorcycles, mountain bikes and other activities that now, I'm paying the price of pain from wear and tear on knees and hip. Wish I had found Kayaks at least in the mid 90's. Tight Lines!
