Another Grouper Crossed Off The Kayak List.

Fishing pressure has thinned out the SE Florida Grouper population. Luck crossed the Snowy Grouper off the list the first year in a Kayak. It was two more years before landing a keeper Black and five years before Landing a keeper Gag Grouper. Keepers are tough to get as many species have off-season windows and 20-24" minimum size limits. After seven years in the kayak, finally a keeper Scamp Grouper last month on a slow pitch

Still not even halfway.......the Goliath, Nassau, Red, Yellowfin, and Warsaw Groupers are still pending.

Beautiful fish. Sad to see so many fish species continue to struggle.
