La Jolla 08/06 1230-2200
Struggled with bait the whole trip. Trolled for about seven hours caught a couple bass in shallow. Wind also kicked our butt until about 1830 when it started dying down. Right before sunset started chasing birds, found a bunch of birds diving turned out to be a seal that was eating a small thresher. Little bit after that had one yellow tail run for a couple seconds but no hook up. Did have a PB on bonito (maybe 1/2 pound haha)that came up and ate my little mackerel.Came back in for a scary night surf landing. It was sunny all day water warmed back up 71 degrees according to the fish finder.

Cool, thanks for the report. What kind of light source are you using while you are out after dark?
