La Jolla reds, Thursday morning
Came looking for Yellas, but settled for a 6 lb (my pb) and a 4lb red just off the NW corner.
Amazing to see so many kayaks on the sand at 4am. Such a cool sight. Just made stock with the bones/heads, and am sitting down to a nice pork sausage/shrimp/rockfish gumbo. Roux is Dark as a Hershey’s bar |
