Learned not 1, but 2 things on Sunday
Aside from the fishing being slow, Sunday was pretty eventful.
1st lesson; When your buddy drops his hatch lid in 50ft of water it is wise to remember that you just pulled your phone out of the dry box and put it in your life vest. Saved buddies $80.00 hatch lid. Cost my $300 phone. 2nd lesson; any time the beach is empty you will make flawless landings in the surf, even in 6' at low tide. However, when the beach is packed so full that you must pick a spot with no kids............you will go ass over tea kettle. On Sunday I found out just how much sand the eXtreme can hold |

Ya know, it sure was a spendy lesson. But I earned like 500 bro points for the dive and recover on the hatch, so it about equals out. Needless to say, I probably won't have to bbq for a week or two, LOL....

If you are on verizon....
My yak buddy has one of these, it's a little on the heavy side, but
it did take at least a 5' dunk in the ocean at the cove (and worked). http://www.cellphonebeat.com/entry/c...-three-colors/

Lesson 3) Don't choose a self inflating lifevest that's water activated cause chances of getting it wet and not being in trouble are great. The refuel cartrages are $20+ each. Not to mention how stupid you look activating it in 3' of water.
