Sea Cliff/Arco Island or Rincon Island
Launch was kinda hard with the rocks and climbing down. The island was not productive as I thought it was gonna be. Had better luck fishing the edge and lanes in the kelp. Bass seemed to like the slower approach. New to the forum Ventura resident.

I went once and had help getting down the rocks to the beach from Roscoe. I had a similar story with it being slow, caught some white fish on the back side and a few rock fish I think.

I was there earlier this year and all the kelp around the island was gone.
No bites and I wasn’t seeing much on the fish finder. Only fish I caught where in the kelp beds south of the island. Would like to try and get out there early fall to see if that makes a difference. Welcome to the board. |

I will be down for Goleta not this weekend but the following if you still want to hit it. Never been only on a jet ski but we just rode the waves by campus point.
