Cabrillo 6-14-19

On the water just a bit before 8. It was breezy in the morning and the water was pretty choppy but the fish were biting. The breeze died down a bit after noon and the bite slowed way down.

Surface temp was 60 in the morning and got up to 63 by 5.

Final count:

19 Calico
7 Sand Bass
zero snails

Mostly caught on ultralight heavyweights jerk tubes. Dark green with red flake was the ticket today.

thats quite a haul. did you launch inside and paddle out, or launch on the outside?

Yes it was a nice day of fishing.

I always launch from the beach. It is a long way to paddle around the break water.

Not as much kelp as there was last year but still lots of fish out there. Mostly little guys though.
