Cachuma Lake
Heading up to camp and bringing the kayaks, has anyone done good there recently on the bass fishing?

Never fished the lake but worst case scenario, tie on a light line leader, a green pumpkin jig/finesse plastic and hold on.

Fish it pretty regularly, fish the points and reed lines across from the marina. Bites been pretty steady. 5-20 fow. You will probably loose count on bass tossing jerkbaits and crankbaits. Trout can still be found as well but a little deeper.

Glad you had a good time! It can get hot up there really quick, too bad that they only start checking the yaks at 7:30.

I'm not a bass guy can you give a bit more details? I'll be there at the end of the month.

I would just hug the coves, there's a lot of structure around and work the shallow areas. Water level is pretty low right now. Gets hot pretty quick over there. Drop shot and crankbaits were working for me the best. I would throw top water and jerkbaits as well. Good luck!
