Car Fishing

Got back to my truck at La Jolla shores at 1 pm to find my truck had been fished through. Make sure you guys/gals don't leave anything in your car. My truck was on the corner by the hotel. Pretty sure someone was casing the area.

And no they didn't find anything worth taking in my truck. It was broken into in Point Loma a few moths back and I have learned to leave it empty.

Man, that sucks.
Just wondering. Do you have any fishing related gear stickers on your car?

My dive instructor taught us not to put Brand Name stickers on our cars. He said those stickers just let people know that you have dive equipment in your car. Just like our fishing gear, you can easily be $1,000+ in your car, after a dive. Don't get me wrong, I am a sticker whore. So yeah I have a Seeker sticker, 187 Jigs, Hogan's Bait and Tackle, Okuma, and Penn stickers on my car. So if you are thief/tweeker, you know this car may have a bunch of fishing gear in it. I just don't leave anything of value in my car.

Nope I don't do the sticker thing for exactly that reason. I'm just happy the thieves are smart enough to get in without breaking a window.

I am sorry, but glad that you shared it with us.

It is good to know that even a rich neighborhood can be less than safe.

Well when we are launching at the butt crack of dawn and leaving our vehicles there.. I always get weary too when I see people with what seems no purpose walking around there that early, recently had my 2014 Civic stolen (from my drive way) so if they want it they will find a way,, try to leave no valuables in your vehicle or carry a good insurance policy!
