Some good news to share with my family here.
I sold my 4Runner and used some of proceeds to buy a Hobie inflatable kayak with reversible Mirage Drive. I am taking the new drive to Baja for two weeks of kayak fishing leaving Los Angeles this Saturday. The new drive can work on my old Hobie kayak. Woppie.
I got a great deal on a demo one from Sunset OEX. Thank you Andy. The inflatable kayak now can be transported to Catalina via Catalina Express. That way I can expand my fishing territory to other places than pier. I may even do some lobster hooping with the new kayak in Catalina. Some logistics need to be worked out, but it seems doable. Posts of the adventure to follow. Stay tuned. |

I'd like to hear how you like it and how it compares to your rigid kayak. Let us know when you've tested it.
