Whoops, won't feed the seals again guys! We caught a smaller bonito, it was bleeding and threw it back, instantly a seal zipped over and caught it, so it was a semi-intentional feeding.

Yes don't feed the dogs. It teaches them to follow and take what is yours not theirs. Next time that cute seal will be taking your yellow at the side of your kayak.

Ok... so since you hook a fish it is YOURS? Actually the dog is the local who belongs there, and you are taking HIS fish. Also, any kayak who is getting their YT robbed by dogs in LJ is fighting their fish like a sissy.

I am so sick of people blaming dogs for their poor fishing skills.

No actually, ask any biologist and they will tell you feeding an animal only encourages it to come up to people looking for food. And yes when that fish is on MY line it is mine. You're right any time a dog gets your fish at the side of the boat =you're a sissy. Because many anglers have never had that happen.

Never feed the POS seals, you definitely broke the cardinal rule of kayak fishing. If you want to feed these roaches, theres seaworld.

Great job on finding the fish! I love catching bonito on light tackle. Quickly bleed them and ice them for best eating I think.

PS: Thanks for being cool with the suggestions of the commenters above, they are spot on. http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/l...405-story.html

Yes, best way to get the salt off the lens. You will notice some shots are sort of blurry/cloudy, this is from a thin layer of salt/sunscreen on the lens.

The only "roaches" in La Jolla are the human beings, especially the trolls on the forum who hate on beginners and make up rules about fishing.
