What do you think
Does this hot water extend the summer fishing season well into fall?
I was in Santa Monica Bay this weekend and surface temp was 79 and as high as 82 degrees in some places.

They are getting a lot of action that's for sure.
For now I am happy being my own captain... going for a bluefin would be sick though.

I think so
From a couple of years ago when we had the El Nino, the bite was on as long as the water temp was over 70.

Yea hope it stays for a bit longer, but one good storm and it could bring up
some cool water from the deep overnight.
