4/2 LJ MPA NIMBY Fishin' Hole Check

Yep, there are still some out there. Afternoon launch and an easy peddle out to 100' deep to fish the lighter bass gear, with plastics.

Finding the bait ball is the hard part, kinda wfo from there. Got a few treefish, starries, reds, calicos, lings.

I left 'em biting, and landed at Big Rock area around 8:30 pm. Two miles out, bull kelp minefield and it was pitch black out there!!
.
.

MPA? NO NO NO Not in my backyard! I support tighter regs, not total closures!!

** Most fish released **

First ling of the season, 23.5 inches released.

Deep Calico released.

Ling 24.5 inches and smiling

For the record, all MPAs are not exclusive no take zones. In fact only a small percentage are completely off limits. Just thought I'd chime in to feel the hate.

Sure 32" is a keeper too but 24" is legal.
