Hobie Hatch Insall Lengthwise??
I just received my rectangular hatch today and was wondering how many of you placed it lengthwise vs the more popular widthwise that all the how to vids and these forums have done it in the past. Pros/Cons with doing it lengthwise or even regrets not installing it lengthwise would be great as I will tear into my Outback before this Saturday's trip. Thanks

I thought about it but was concerned about the drive well as it sloped down. I wasn't sure that gap would close.
I think it looks better the standard way. http://www.bigwatersedge.com/bwevb/s...ad.php?t=31753 |

Lengthwise seems to be cutting it close (pun intended). I have mine horizontal, and no issues with it .

Thanks for replies you both. was hoping more would chime in but I guess most installed it normal and that's what I'll be doing tomorrow.

I've installed several lengthwise, no issues. Easier to access. My buddy did one at the shop today in fact.
