The Ghost Cometh...

Man, when you have one kid kayak fishing is manageable. With two young kidos kayak fishing becomes a distant memory at times. Even though life is amazing with the kids some days you just need to get out on your own. After a couple sporadic skunks in the past two months, an early Saturday morning end of July did me right. Got this long beauty in the shallows trailing a brown bait (yeah Jim you told me they work). Drug me through 3 kelp patties, missed 3 gaff shots, but this bad boy was meant to be mine. Only ran 45lbs, but a whopping 53in, long sucka. On the H2o by 6 off by 8, doesn't get better then that. As we all know, we savor those days. Tight lines.

Congrats! I'm willing to be that that ghost weighs more than your two kids combined.

Nice Chuck! That's a long WSB. Congrats.

I have two kids (5 and 7) and it's def harder to put in the time on the water, but worth it when you grab one of those.

Cheers!

DAYUM!!!! Nice fish. If I did that, just once, my wife would not complain about me going fishing.

She would complain about the mess I bet.

Unless you can clean and fillet away from sight.

Atta boy Chuck! You are right, when fishing time gets scarce, it is that much sweeter when you do get to stick one!

Nice Fish!

Occasionally my two kids want to come out fishing with me. They love yelling, laughing, dragging feet/kelp while I paddle, and jumping of the yak.

They have a great time...been a while since I have caught any fish...
