SB 8/2
Finished work by 2:30 and decided that I need a fishing therapy session. Loaded up my yak and off to the habor I went. On the water by 3:30, peddled 20 mins out to the one-mile area. My LC got hit once while I was peddling but it came loose. Once I got to the area, metered around, found a decent bait ball in the mid column, dropped my jig down and instantly hooked up once the jig hit the bottom. Pulled up a nice fat sandy that spits out a squid, didn't bring the hawg trough but looked sub-legal 12''-14''. It was game on for the next hour or so, caught and released over 20 fish in the next hour, mostly sandies with a few small johnny bass mixed in. Was looking for a couple rockfish for dinner but didn't take any since they were small. Had to call it a day by 5:30 because the wind picked up, back at the harbor by 6 PM. Overall it was a much needed rewarding session. Sorry for the lack of pics, was really pressured on time so didn't bother with photos.

Well it's not like you don't live 20 minutes from a couple lakes.
