What is your budget.
You can grab a harbor fright trailer for relatively cheap. I spent just as much on 4x8 plywood ( paint, sealer, carpet , mounting hardware ) as I did on trailer itself. Total cost under 600 $ with permanent registration . It's not a bad trailer for hauling yak . All kinds of you tube videos on making it a kayak hauler. Malone aluminum is what ? 1200$

I have a trailer for a kayak and I am in La Jolla. It's a Malone MicroSport XT MPG460XT, with the following extra features; spare tire, tire cover, lock for the spare tire, upgraded aluminum fenders and a retractable tongue. You can view the trailer and accessories at this website. https://maloneautoracks.com/
Malone sells this trailer as a kit that you need to assemble, but mine is fully assembled and licensed in California. This trailer kit retails for $1,599.00. The aluminum fenders cost an extra $49.00. The spare tire and locking attachment cost an extra $159.00. The retractable tongue kit is an extra $159.00. It also comes with a custom home made rack made out of PVC pipe and straps to securely tie down a kayak. With all these extras, the trailer would retail for $1,966.00, but I'll sell mine for $1,200.00. This trailer is clean, well maintained and barely used. I bought it with a PA14 from another member, but I don't need or use a trailer. Randy 619-544-1604 Last edited by RandyD; 07-14-2017 at 07:10 AM. |

I bought a used jet ski trailer off of Craigs and it is working well for me. A couple I came across:
