All this wind, good or bad for fishing
So winds finally die down Sunday morning (Newport Harbor) Should I load up or is all the wind and swells stirring things up too much freaking out the fish.

I was in Catalina during the weekend (post coming soon) and caught a lot of fish.
It was easier to cast long distance for bonito, so no wind or from my back was helpful. Wind caused big swells are a more important factor to consider for safety. |

Spring is often windy locally. Its part of the environment. Wind from the north can up well cold bottom water along the coast and slow a bite down. South wind moves warmer surface water in to the coast.
But basically, if the weather is good and you have the time, go fishing. |
