Lost my Mirage drive...
If anyone finds a Mirage drive with turbo fins at La Jolla or hears of some being found, please let me know.
Lost at high tide, went back at low and couldn't find. Thanks Dave |

I got my first "Flip job" while trying to beach. they were out of the slot and bungee'd down, they came out.
I wasn't the only one, when i went back at low tide another guy was out there looking for his, too. So post up if smeone finds a set with standards fins on it. |

I dont take mine out for landing. Even on rocky beaches, they hold their own. A few scratches here and there dont make a diff. When I do take them out, like in thick kelp beds, I have them rigged to attach to my paddle leash.
Sorry to hear of your loss. Hope you get them back. /bing |

Standard drive is about $350.00
Not to mention rods and reals I have seen lost out there. I have talked to divers who find loads of fishing gear at La Jolla. Talk about a gold mine.

Looks like I'm going snorkeling after work tomorrow. Got to get my stuff back and hopefully help out the other guy too.

I don't seem to able to get multiple pics in a post, so I will submit a small series of replies with pics of my Mirage Drive mount.
First I attached a leash to my drive and then mounted 2 bungees with end hooks and a flush mounted hook to hold the drive tight to the yak. |

Insert the main drive pin into the sail mast hole, with the fins facing forward.
